Snow day
Yesterday we went to the zoo and today we're playing in the snow. The weather is a fasinating thing! This isn't the first time Mackay has seen snow, just the first time she has been able to play in it. She had a blast! She woke up from her nap, looked outside and put on her crocs and vest and headed for the door. I wonder what would she would of thought if I let her go out in the outfit she had chosen. If I could have found our gloves, I would have made a snowman, but I did make a snow ball. As I told Mackay, it was a mini snowman. The snow won't last long as the temp. is going back up tomorrow, but we will enjoy it as it lasts.

Zoo days
Yesterday we went to the zoo. We were joined by Jennifer, Sandy, Laura and Laura's daughter Addisyn. The girls were in awe of all the animals we saw. We saw gorillas, monkeys, bears, lions, alligators and so much more. We had a fantastic time. The girls loved the elephants the best as they were playing with a huge concrete ball. In 2nd place would have to be the mercats. I believe we are going to have to get a yearly membership to keep this love of animals ongoing.

Our little reader
We have joined our local library to support Mackay's addiction to reading. Every chance she gets, she reads a book. Her current favorites are Bebop Express and A sock is a pocket for your toes. Every night before going to bed we put up about 25 books that have been sprawled out over our living room floor.
Sandbox
Mackay went to visit her friend Trinity last week. As hard as I tried to get them to look at the camera, they were too busy playing in the sandbox. Trinity did well keeping the sand within the sandbox, but Mackay was new to it and successfully poured most of it out in the grass. They had a great time with one another and we look forward to seeing Trinity and her family again soon.
