Birthday Princess

Mackay's 3rd Birthday

We turned our house into a carnival. When you first walked in you deorated you own treat bag to hold all the carnival game prizes. Then took pictures of people with their heads sticking out of a funny zoo photo canvas cutout. Then onto the "gone fishing game" and the lolipop tree. Mackay also had her friends create spin art designs. We had a cotton candy machine, which was a big hit and a few more carnival games like "duck pond" and "ping pong ball toss". We were going for an old school carnival theme. The kids then got to bounce in the carosausal bounce house. We had 22 kids there and it wasn't too crazy because the kids were at different stations at different times. The most important part is Mackay had a blast and is still talking about it.

Freestyle swim

We had Mackay take survival swim lessons fo the 2nd year in a row. Last year was very hard to watch but this year was much easier. Mackay was trained by a former olympic swimmer and current olympic coach. In only 8 days, Coach Shannon turned Mackay into a confident swimmer. In this video Mackay jumps in from the side of the pool (I missed videoing that part) and swims to safety. Mackay has also learned to swim and look up, breath, and continue to swim. We are so proud of her! We can't belive a 3 year old is capable of such amazing things. We owe it all to Coach Shannon. Soon I will post video of her at dance class. She is good at that too!

Backstroke

Mackay is amazing when she floats on her back, so it was no surprise that she took the backstroke with ease.

Swim Lessons

Mackay has learned to float on her back when she becomes tired and needs to catch her breath. Thi is a survival swim move.

A little out of order, but you'll have fun watching

Hawaii 2009

We were able to take the kids to Kauai, Hawaii. We had a fantastic time!!! We had an oceanfront room, and a wonderful pool to stay cool in. The kids loved and so did the adults. We are thinking of making it a yearly tradition.
