Opening gifts

Mackay had a lot of help opening her gifts this year. Her friends Michael, Makenzie, Payton and Ryland were the front runners of the quickest unwrappers in Texas contest. The runners up were Ellie, Landon and Audry (don't worry, next year when they are a little older, I think they'll take the trophy home).

Mackay's 2nd Birthday

Word World is Mackay's favorite cartoon, so we threw her a Word World themed party. Word World is the place where words come alive, like her cake, which just says CAKE. Speaking of cake, when it was time to blow out the candles, I thought Jim had helped and he thought I had helped, but we were both wrong, Mackay blew them out all by herself. What a big girl. We had a great time and are just thrilled that our friends and family could attend. Everyone spoiled Mackay and she had a great time.

SeaWorld

My friend Allison and I decided to take a trip to Sea World in San Antonio. She brought her son Payton and I brought Mackay. We had a good time, but the kids had a GREAT time. I loved seeing their faces when Shamu came out to greet the fans. They got up close and personal with dolphins and loved the walrus and seal performance. This is a trip we will be doing again.

Easter Egg Hunt

This year Mackay understood what it meant to hunt Easter eggs. She was on target picking up the not so discretly hidden eggs as soon as I started singing the clean up song. Once she heard the words "clean up, clean up, everbody, everywhere. Clean up, clean up, everybody do their share", she was on the move and did not stop. She did a great job spotting and cleaning up all the easter eggs in her sight.

Visit to Cleveland

While in Cleveland surprising Jim's mom on her 60th Birthday, we got to visit some of our Cleveland friends. Here are a few pictures of Mackay with Mary and Caroline. She had a great time with her old friends and Jim and I had a good time catching up with their parents and seeing their new little girl, Anna. While in Cleveland we also got to celebrate St. Patricks Day. I made this little t-shirt tutu for Mackay to don on the big Irish day. We also got to go shopping at Trader Joes (for those in California, you might know it as TJs). Mackay had the time of her life pushing around a mini shopping cart, however, when it was time to check out, there were some unfamiliar items that Jim and I did not pick out.
